The mosque is 250 meters long and 47 meters wide, occupying an area of over 12,000 square meters. It is is divided into four courtyards. In the first courtyard, there is an elaborate wooden arch nine meters high covered with glazed tiles that dates back to the 17th century. On the center of the second yard stands a stone arch with two steles on both sides. On one stele is the script of a famous calligrapher in Song and Ming Dynasty. The Fourth Courtyard is principal pavilion of this great mosque complex and contains a big prayer hall with a capacity for 1000 worshipers. When you visit in the mosque, the further one strolls into its interior, the more serene one feels.
