Henan Museum

As one of China'a oldest museum, the Henan Museum is as famous as Shan'xi History Museum and Shanghai Museum. Situated on the Middle Road in Zhengzhou city, the museum is magnificent, occupying an area of 100,000 square meters, with a built area of 78,000 square meters and an exhibition floor area of 4,000 square meters. The main building vividly resembles a crowned pyramid, containing 8 halls.

The museum displays more than 130,000 pieces of cultural relics treasures, of which more than
5,000 pieces are treasures of the first and second grades. They are really a great feast for your eyes, such as the ancient stone carvings, ancient jade carvings, exquisite crafts of the Ming and Qing Dynasty, ancient architecture in Henan,bronze ware art of Kingdom Chu, the world of dinosaurs and so on. All the treasures reflect the glorious civilization of Henan which plays an important role in Chinese early civilization. Many exhibits win great admiration when they are displayed in more than 20 countries and regions in the continents of Europe.

To meet the needs of visitors for knowledge and appreation of cultural relics and for entertainment, modern technological means have been adopted, such as audio tour, magnified
video-tape playing, computer consultation and visitor's interactive facilities.
